Blog Redesign Comments Welcomed

I’m in the middle of redesigning the blog as you can see its not quite there yet and there is still plenty more work to do, a few of you noticed that we have had a few issues of late with this blog, this involved a database issue which we have been unable to resolve and subsequently lost a lot of posts.
Unfortunately this came at a time where we have been inundated with client work, sorry but the clients have to take priority. Finally got chance to take a look at the blog and decided it needed a freshen up, for a start the fluid layout was an issue along with the dull green colour that I have grown to hate.
Unfortunately due to time constraints I have had to deal with the deleted posts in a way which is not ideal for users clicking through from search engines or for search engine rankings (considering for the past month the blog homepage has only had the text sorry no posts match your criteria) I 301′d all indexed posts to the blog homepage.
With a new design comes a new blog, starting from fresh with a few new features, new authors and new blog posts written from a new angle.
Feel free to comment on the whole look and feel of the site but please bare in mind it is 50% complete.
