I feel a rant coming on…
When I see SEO blogs at the extreme where they link to their homepage 1 - 4 times A POST in 85% of their blog posts with the anchor text SEO company, online marketing, SEO, PPC (the list goes on) it just boils my (cough).
These links aren’t for people, the blogs audience is other SEO’s, linking to yourself this much reminds me of when people used to put SEO 83 times in the meta keywords tag to rank#1.
‘You don’t need to do this, your cheapening yourself.’
I’m not tight with links, if something is worthy of being linked to I’ll link to it, if people ask me to mention a post on their blog I will (as long as its not garbage), but I wouldn’t link to this blog (I think out of principle).

Just take the homepage of the blog for instance, even before the read more link, there is around 10 links all going to the homepage from within the blog excerpts.
I like links to be useful, I like links to take me somewhere which may be of interest to me.
Is it just me? or am I right ‘its too much’
