There is a bit of a debate going on currently regarding the use of no follow on blog comments, worth a read up if you have not already.

My main concern with removing the nofollow comments remains from when I tried this about 5 months ago - The quality of the comments on your blog decrease, which decreases the value of your blog.

People comment for the sake of commenting to get a link, and not because they have an opinion on the matter which they would like to convey.

The best comments on blogs are from posts which get a reaction from the user, a blog with the nofollow removed will still get those reactions, but the signal to noise ratio decreases.

    1. Pay Per Click Journal Says:

We would beg to differ with the idea that people ONLY post to get their link up. We would have to say it’s a combination many times of the two — seeing a blog that they are genuinely interested while also getting a good link - two birds with one stone! Of course some people are just spammy and have no real desire to read what is written in the post but the same cannot be said for all!
