PPC Advertising: The Pros and Cons

Google offers its users a paid for advertising service, which gives businesses a chance to instantly have their site ranking high on the Google search pages.  However, it can be very expensive!

PPC stands for Pay Per Click.  It works by charging the business for each time someone clicks on their sponsored link.  These payments are often small, a matter of pence each time.  Depending on how competitive the industry is, these ‘bids’ can be more or less expensive.

This is a great way to quickly get your site high up on the google search, however it is not really a long term solution – for longer term ranking success, we would always recommend organic SEO practices as the most cost effective method.  PPC is ideal for a quick hit on rankings and for getting more visitors to your site without having to do too much.
